It all started when…

Mayor Weppler of Libertyville asked the Knights of Columbus to host the Village's Dog Days of Summer Event over five years ago. Dog Days of Summer is a marquis event for the Village and is attended by over 5,000 pet owners and residents. They visit different pet-related vendors in the Village's Cook Park each Summer, along with viewing the National Canine Aquatic Jumping Competition operated by DockDogs.

Our mission is to provide funds to local charities that help those in need, including a local Pet Food Pantry that helps Seniors and Families who cannot afford pet food. We support local pet shelters too! Please visit our Facebook page for more details: https://www.facebook.com/LibertyvilleDogDaysofSummer/

2023 Libertyville’s Dogs Days of Summer will be held from July 7th through July 9th in Cook Park and along Church Street between Milwaukee Avenue and Brainerd Avenue.
